FIN DIES
Modular and compact fin dies

C.M.S. has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing fin die systems, offering high-precision, high-performance solutions for heat exchangers. Modular dies (for PRM presses) are known for easy maintenance and fast setup, while compact dies (for PRX presses) offer high production capacity in a compact design. Built to the highest quality standards, they allow quick changes for different collar diameters and fin geometries. Compatible with various materials like aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and more, these dies can be installed on any fin press available on the market.

PRM
Modular style fin-die machines
The C.M.S. presses represent the state-of-the-art in fin production systems capable to fit every type of fin-die. The well-established PRM series is specific for applications requiring modular style fin-die and stands out for its ease of use and easy maintenance. Thanks to both series, C.M.S. is able to meet all market needs, for the required tonnage (from 75 to 120 tons), installable fin-die width (from 570 to 1219 mm) and for specific applications. The operating velocity of all models varies between 90 and 300 spm. The hydraulic safety overload allows the ram to be lifted and making cleaning and inspection operations much easier. Additional quality points are the strong structure, a perfect balance of the moving masses and a great distribution of the moulds loads. Quick-change for the fin die, is available for all the presses and this makes this system really flexible. All the C.M.S. presses are ready to be integrated into customer’ digital processes.

MANIFOLD DRILLING MACHINE MDE
The Manifold drilling machine MDE model is the latest developed technology for copper manifold production. Small batches of stainless steel production, are accepted. An all new rotating head that operating up to 24.000 RPM, coupled with a 16 positions tools warehouse, increase significantly the machine output. As with the MDM model, the CAD-CAM software is available and is complete by a tool’s auto-zero system.

MULTIRODS HORIZONTAL EXPANDER MOCN
This machine is suitable for expanding up to 90 tubes simultaneously using “pull” expansion technology. This machine has the added value of coil expansion in a single stage. This machine is specifically designed for the production of gravity coils and/or replacements. It is equipped with an end forming device to obtain at the end of the process the coils ready brazed. The table is equipped with an automation capable of loading, positioning, and unloading coils. The shrink-less technology is an available option capable of controlling the tube shrinkage with a significant advantage in the production process.

HAIRPIN BENDING MACHINE HB

HORIZONTAL EXPANDERS
The ideal applications for the Horizontal Expander are for tube lengths up to 15 meters, even for limited production lots, and are characterized by the speed and ease of programming. The expansion of the tubes may be performed by pushing (for straight tube heat exchangers) or pulling (for hairpin and tubes up to 8 meters); in the latter case, the process guarantees the execution of tubes of the same length. In our latest developed horizontal expanders, it is possible to select various models like the MOC or the MOC-A or the MOC-M, combined tooling machines, where it is possible to select only the expansion rods needed for a specific coil, either manually or automatically.
High flexibility allows to select geometries automatically with the support of an advanced camera system. The quick expansion technology conversion system removes any limits in the existing and future machine production capabilities.
